Question:
My father-in-law and grandmother died the same week over two years ago and since then our bakery business, of which they both spent a lot of time helping us with, has lost its zing, especially financially. How can I re-energize it?

Answer:
I'm sorry for your loss. Because both of them spent a lot of time with you in your bakery, it's very possible that their absence caused a shift in your business. Why not symbolically put them back into your business?

Put a picture of both of them, or a family photo, in the northwest heaven sector or the northwest corner of the office. This will pay respect to their "heavenly" position now, and bring their celestial influence to your business -- and perhaps seeing them will help to make you feel a little less like they're missing.

Secondly, have you thought about doing something new at the bakery? Energizing a business is always a good idea and having some new offering is a great way to do that. Maybe you have a unique biscuit, cupcake or other bakery item that you could offer your customers. Even re-introducing a recipe that was one of your father-in-law or grandmother's, or name something after them, might be a great way of doing something new -- and honoring them at the same time. Adding something new and offering free samples could initiate some interest and re-energize your business.

Lastly, try a re-organization. Have you changed the office set-up, cleaned out old files, and redecorated? If it were me, I'd do all three of the suggestions I've given you to help super-charge your bakery! Good luck!
